About this vintage design furniture
Silvered metal vase Lino Sabattini, Italy, circa 1970. Signed under the base with Sabattini mark. Lino Sabattini became director of design at the prestigious Christofle Orfèvrerie, where he created metal ware notable for abstract organic yet invariably elegant and modern forms between 1956 and 1963. During that period, Lino Sabattini also designed metal, glass, and ceramic objects for Rosenthal. Sabattini established Argenteria Sabattini (1964) to execute his designs in limited editions.
