About this vintage design furniture
A pretty, colorful, jar-shaped art bowl or vase designed by Kaj Franck for Nuutajärvi, Finland. It was produced from 1968 to 1971 and has a beautiful combination of green, blue, red and light colour. Signed by Kaj Franck. Perfect original condition. Measures: 22 cmH 16cmD. Base in dia: 13 cm. Kaj Franck (1911-1987) was born in Viborg, Finland, into a middle-class family with German-Finnish-Swedish roots. Kaj Franck is often described as the conscience of Finnish design. The appeal we feel for his designs goes beyond pure aesthetics. Kaj Franck came to the Nuutajärvi glassworks in 1951.
