About this vintage design furniture

Admirable design for the prestigious John Herbert A. Younger firm belonging to Lt. Sideboard range of dining Fonseca 746; a British development of high quality made during the 60s in teak. harmonic proportions in geometric structure of clean and sophisticated lines. The front consists of a trio of drawers (upper compartments and upholstered base) flanked by doors that keep a large space, with fixed shelf left and right transparent. Finally highlight the way in which the legs are assembled with the rest of the furniture, masterfully integrated on the same basis, without strips or racks, high joinery work denoting the remarkable quality furniture.

About the designer

John HERBERT

John Herbert was a British industrial designer, born in 1929 and died in 2007. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London in the 1950s and began his career working for the English furniture manufacturer Ercol.
