About this vintage design furniture
Alfred Cox Mid Century Sideboard An Alfred Cox sideboard with a gently curved front and tapered legs. This item was made by a highly collectable cabinet maker whose items were sold through Harrods, Heals and Maple & Co. Alfred Cox was a great designer of post-war British furniture. He worked mainly with walnut and teak, designing and producing quality items of superb craftmanship that are much sought after today. The sideboard is labelled by the maker. Plenty of storage space, deep drawers and a cutlery drawer. All the doors and drawers have ball shaped brass pulls. Dimensions: 79 cm height x 49 cm depth x 172 cm width. Condition: This sideboard is in showroom condition. Superb wood grain. The faintest signs of wear may be found due to age.

Alfred COX
Alfred Cox was an English furniture designer who worked in the 1950s and 1960s. Born in 1912, Cox began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with his father before moving into furniture design in the 1930s.
