About this vintage design furniture
Koivutaru armchair from the 70s in the rare combination of black leather and black wooden frame. The armchair shows slight signs of wear on the frame, the leather is in very good condition. The Finnish designer Esko Pajamies designed this armchair for Asko in 1977, creating a design classic. The Finnish furniture manufacturer Asko was founded in 1919 and made a name for itself in the 1960s and 1970s when it collaborated with high-level designers and delivered innovative designs.

About the designer
Esko PAJAMIES
1931 - 1990Esko Pajamies was a renowned Finnish designer, born in 1936 in Lahti, Finland, and died in 2014. He studied at Helsinki University of Art and Design (Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture), graduating in 1962.
