About this vintage design furniture
Set of four stylish stacking ’222’ model chairs by Robert Mallet Stevens. Originally designed and manufcatured in the 1920s, these chairs have been produced until recently. Made from lacquered steel with upholstered seats. Stack handily to save space. In good, vintage condition. There is some marking to the seat pads and the steel frames.

Robert MALLET-STEVENS
1886 - 1945Robert Mallet-Stevens was a French architect and designer born in 1886 and died in 1945. He is best known for his work in the modern movement in France, where he was one of the leading proponents of functionalist architecture and design.
