About this vintage design furniture
It is a rarely seen chair, designed by Robin Day and made by Hille in the early 1950s. Originally designed as an orchestra chair in the Royal Festival Hall, this chair is the domestic version that followed, model no. 661D. Powder-coated steel frame and walnut-covered plywood seat, as on the Hillestak chair. In vintage original condition, with an original finish of the frame and a very nicely patinated seat and backrest. ST1262 Measures: 44cm wide 46cm deep 73cm high 46.5 seat height.
