Vintage Carl Edward Matthes Sofa Danish 1930s

Rarely offered Carl Edward Matthes (b. 1915) sofa, model 20. Filigree armrests with ball ends. Overall organic shape. Forelegs with brass caps. The sofa is completely restored & reupholstered. In the course of the restauration, the wood (solid birch beech-wood) is refreshed taking into account the old patina. The wool cover is renewed in old colors. Here we fall back on Kvadrat Hallingdal. Execution 1930-35, danish manufacturer. Possible that it was manufactured in his own furniture production, Matthes Furniture. This sofa is listed only once in an auction (visible on Artnet). Very good vintage condition. Completely restored & reupholstered.
