About this vintage design furniture
Set of 6 industrial chairs designed by Ynske Kooistra and manufactured by famous Dutch furniture maker Marko in 1950s period, The Netherlands. The classic Dutch compass leg chair was perhaps originally created by Prouve who then inspired a number of beautiful chair designs in the late 1950s. Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld designed the result chair in the 1950s alongside the S16 chair designed and produced by Galvanitas. The S201 by Dutch company Marko came from this creative period and it is one of the most graceful variants with its swept front leg allowing the suspended seat frame. Made from a sheet steel frame with a fine laminated and formed seat and back. Original label on a chairs.
