About this vintage design furniture
Large credenza in mahogany, walnut and brass, designed by Abraham Patijn during the early 1950s for Dutch manufacturer Zijlstra. Well executed sideboard with lovely art deco elements and a high glossy finish. The wood has a vivid look and feel with a beautiful grain. The eye-catching decorative lines (inlayed) in the front of the cabinet, the brass trumpet feet, the solid mahogany flared rim, glossy finish and the decorated keyholes, are all details which sets forth the Dutch Art deco period, with iconic architects such as Berlage and Julius Luthmann. The doors and the middel part of the top are very well executed in a beautiful walnut veneer.

About the designer
Abraham A. PATIJN
Abraham A. Patijn is a contemporary Dutch designer, born on November 4, 1979 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After studying industrial design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, he founded his own design studio in Rotterdam in 2006, where he works mainly on furniture and lighting projects.
