About this vintage design furniture

Large credenza in mahogany, walnut and brass, designed by Abraham Patijn during the early 1950s for Dutch manufacturer Zijlstra. Well executed sideboard with lovely art deco elements and a high glossy finish. The wood has a vivid look and feel with a beautiful grain. The eye-catching decorative lines (inlayed) in the front of the cabinet, the brass trumpet feet, the solid mahogany flared rim, glossy finish and the decorated keyholes, are all details which sets forth the Dutch Art deco period, with iconic architects such as Berlage and Julius Luthmann. The doors and the middel part of the top are very well executed in a beautiful walnut veneer.
