About this vintage design furniture
In 1983 the German designer Richard Sapper created this shapely kettle for the Italian manufacturer Alessi. The water kettle is made of stainless steel, has a copper bottom and brass flutes. A spring clip is used for filling the kettle.

About the designer
Richard SAPPER
1932 - 2015Richard Sapper was a German industrial designer who was born in Munich in 1932 and died in Milan in 2015. After studying engineering in Munich, he worked for several design companies, including Mercedes-Benz and Siemens, before becoming an independent designer in the 1960s.
