About this vintage design furniture
This Opaline glass pendant lamp is the same model as the original radio house pendant from the 1940s named VL45 Radiohus Pendel. The Radiohus pendel was created in conjunction with the Radiohouse in Copenhagen. The author was Vilhelm Lauritzen, one of the most important architects of modernism, who with Louis Poulsen created all the lighting for the new Radio House. Over time the radio house pendant has become a sought after design icon that stands high in the course of antique markets and auctions. The pendant light gives a unified soft light. The opening at the bottom gives a direct downward light. The quality of the glass makes the lamp, regardless of the light source, an uniform impression. The pendulum can be mounted both high and low. Designed 1945. Measures: 37 cmH x 36 cmD. Opaline glass and brass fixings.
