About this vintage design furniture
Very rare wall mounted unit by AA Patijn for Zijlstra Joure. This is the larger edition with one middle hinging drawer cabinet and 2 open cabinets (one up, one below). Designed and produced in the 50s for Zijlstra Joure. The unit can be wall mounted but can be placed on the floor as well. Hinging drawer is equipped with separate small cabinet. 4 horizontal glas plates and 2 vertical glas plates. Light walnut wood. The hinging drawer has an old repair near the lock. This is not visible from the outside but only on the inside somewhat. Lock has been restored. One of the vertical glas plates has a small chip.

About the designer
Abraham A. PATIJN
Abraham A. Patijn is a contemporary Dutch designer, born on November 4, 1979 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After studying industrial design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, he founded his own design studio in Rotterdam in 2006, where he works mainly on furniture and lighting projects.
