About this vintage design furniture
This rare Norwegian midcentury lounge chair was designed by Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling and imported by Peter Wessel beginning in 1962. The bucket seat was mounted on sculpted teak frame with curved armrests. This piece has loose seat cushion and original wool upholstery in natural tone. This chair is beautiful from every angle and has wonderful proportions. Original vintage codition with normal traces of age, minor scratches and wear on seat edge, one belt sliced. Fully functional. Belts signed.

Rolf RASTAD & Adolf RELLING
Rastad & Relling is the name of a Norwegian design duo made up of Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling. Both were born in Norway in 1915 and began their collaboration in 1943. They studied at the Oslo School of Art and Crafts, where they specialized in furniture design.
