Armchair in oak and straw, the Netherlands, 1940s The armchair is made in solid oak and straw, attributed to Dutch designer Bas Van Pelt. The construction of this rare early 1940s design is quite traditional and basic, yet very elegant. Bas Van Pelt (1900-1945) is a Dutch furniture designer.
