About this vintage design furniture
Suspension K2 of Tapio Wirkkkala, edition oy idman. 3-element suspension composed of the K2-141, the rare K2 diamond or K2-134 version, a Wir-105 bulb and 2 Wir-85. In addition, the hanging plate is the rare black lacquered metal plate. The Wir-85 bulb designed by Tapio Wirkkkala won the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennial in 1960 and is part of the Moma collection. Bibliography. Example: 1000 lights, charlotte & Peter Fiell, p.352.

About the designer
Tapio WIRKKALA
1915 - 1985Tapio Wirkkala was a Finnish designer and artist born on June 2, 1915 in Hanko, Finland, and died on May 19, 1985 in Helsinki. He is considered one of Finland's most important designers and left his mark on the history of 20th-century Scandinavian design.
